My Rating: 4 of 5 Stars

The Mark Julian, Vampire P.I. needs to be read in order so it makes sense and when you do, then you'll realize why I love every installment. It just gets better, the mystery deepens and the danger is upped. In this installment, someone makes an attempt on his life. Again. Like this is nothing new really for there is just something about Vinnie that many people cannot tolerate. Make that his incredible skills as a detective and his getting too close to solving a mystery that has been plaguing this series.

Another set of characters I've been following is the romance between Jean Claude and Jaime. They are pregnant and their baby is something the paranormal world is afraid of and wants destroyed. Their story is the next best thing to this series.

There's quite a lot going on here and again, the loose ends left open in the fifth book are answered, but not all. When something is solved, another opens and the mystery deepens. The suspicion points to Tortego and since the begining, he's not been as inocent as he pretends or looks to be.

This is a mystery and as such, you need to pay attention to detail. The answers surprised me as they were unexpected but yet it was logical. I truly enjoy this series and hope the book seven can reveal more secrets.
